Lucy Boermans

Iteration 12 evolved slowly - with time and care. Ways of thinking and doing were exchanged between Boermans and Mayn; “trace-forms” of possibility surfaced via process; seeds of recognition flowed back and forth via affective geometries; mothermother became an enactive space, a “living building” whereby actions-in-space, (acts of recognition, transference and transformation) informed the creative process.

Boermans’ installation practice explores Ecologies of Movement after Guattari’s notion of ecosophy that challenges us to re-think the philosophical basis of our pedagogical relationship with Nature. Explored within a relational space, in open dialogue and within a space of ludic exploration, Boermans looks to the value of language beyond the visible by inviting us to (re)consider “interaffective” being.
